• To promote community-driven research informed by rural older adults, including people with dementia and care partners.
• To conduct population health research to improve rural aging at the individual, community, policy, and societal levels.
• To enhance the health equity (unfair, avoidable, and unjust differences in health outcomes) and aging in place for rural older adults.
Thompson Rivers University campuses are on the traditional lands of the Tk’emlúps te Secwépemc (Kamloops campus) and the T’exelc (Williams Lake campus) within Secwépemc’ulucw, the traditional and unceded territory of the Secwépemc.
